The story
Khet is the open field. It is the ground you cross without thinking, the one that lets you move freely. We translated it into parcels of wool laid out like plots of land seen from above, each one slightly different in size, none of them the centre.
Because there is no fixed middle, Khet keeps working when a room changes. Turn it, shift it, slide a sofa halfway across it and the composition still holds. The borders between parcels are cut lower than the pile, so the edges carry the weight and the field stays calm.
This piece is made in oat, sized 8 × 10 feet. Every rug is made by hand to order, so small variations in tone and pile are part of the piece.
