The story
Kyari is cultivated land: the raised beds and channels that ask you to move with intent. The rug is built from long rows of deep pile held inside a lighter, low border, the way a field is framed by the paths that tend it.
The rhythm is even and quiet on purpose. It draws a room into order without shouting, and works as well under a long dining table as it does along a corridor, where the rows lead the eye forward.
This piece is made in tobacco, sized 6 × 9 feet. Every rug is made by hand to order, so small variations in tone and pile are part of the piece.
