The story
Vidaar is the fissure: the way ground cracks and adjusts under pressure and time. Islands of soft, high pile are separated by a dark, recessed channel, so the rug looks lived on from the very first day.
The channels are cut lower than the pile and feel different underfoot, drawing a map you notice with your feet before your eyes. It is a rug that expects to be walked on, and softens into the room the longer it stays.
This piece is made in earth, sized 8 × 10 feet. Every rug is made by hand to order, so small variations in tone and pile are part of the piece.
